Linked to Cee’s Which Way Challenge Week #35. This challenge subject is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride them, as long as the way is visible. Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.
These pictures are from Galle Fort in the Bay of Galle in southwest coast of Sri Lanka, built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards.
Below, part of the muddy walkway at the fort; and beyond and below to it, the sea.
Rain that fell earlier in the day has left puddles in the pathway. In the distance you can see tourists and locals alike enjoying the sea breeze and the view, taking pictures et al..
A wider view of the path we walked. In the distance can be seen clouds gathering for an encore of the morning’s performance, but we weren’t around to watch it as by then we were on our way to Bentota..
More pictures from Galle Fort is in store for next week’s challenge. 😀
