The Purple Swamphen (Porphyrio porphyrio) is a “swamp hen” in the rail family Rallidae. Also known locally as the Pūkeko, African Purple Swamphen, Purple Moorhen, Purple Gallinule or Purple Coot. (Wiki)

These are cropped pictures and not really good shots at that, as they were pretty far away. But I was damn glad to be able to click them at all.

This naughty squirrel just strode up to the jungle crow eating that piece of flat bread, coolly took it off him and started munching on it himself.
