Rhyothemis variegata, known as the Common Picture Wing or Variegated Flutterer, is a species of dragonfly of the family Libellulidae, found in South Asia. They appear to have weak flight and can easily be mistaken for butterflies. (Wiki) In Malayalam they are called as Onathumbi. This is the first of the season that I clicked last week. Onam is in the air already 🙂
