Cee’s Which Way Challenge 2015: Week #34

Linked to Cee’s Which Way Challenge Week #34. This challenge subject is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride them, as long as the way is visible. Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

While walking up the path to the waterfall at Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, we met this old lady who was collecting firewood. It was a chilly day and the path went uphill all the way.

We forgot to ask her name, but she told us her dog was called Rocky. Here you can see Rocky about to settle down by the wayside and wait for his mistress to finish her work.

8.222.365 One for the camera

He is Mani and earns a living by keeping cows and selling their milk, doing odd jobs for people in the residential colonies around. Some afternoons you find him fast asleep beneath a tree, taking that much needed rest. He has a family somewhere in Tamil Nadu, to whom goes most all of his earnings, for on himself he hardly spends anything. I hope to click him again. He has an interesting face.

3.66.365 Concentration

A perfect picture of concentration, this little girl was seen laboriously copying down the information about birds on the display boards even after her mates had hurried after the teacher. It was good to see so many schools had brought children over to see the migratory birds at Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary. She was part of the last group we saw just before leaving.
